Concept Proposals

The Immune Tolerance Network accepts proposals for clinical trials and tolerance assays applied to islet & kidney transplantation, autoimmune diseases and asthma & allergic diseases.

Proposals for clinical trials should represent novel therapies which have a strong biological basis for inducing tolerance - requisite pre-clinical investigation must be complete, with encouraging results . They must also include plans for integrated mechanistic studies of biomarkers of disease activity and tolerance assessment. Proposals for studies of individual biomarkers and tolerance assays alone will also be entertained, provided appropriate consideration has been given to clinical indications.

What is a Concept Proposal?

Concept Proposals are short, 4 page overviews that provide ITN reviewers with the conceptual bases and supporting research for the proposed studies, as well as a short overview of the study requirements. Based upon this information, the ITN will make a decision whether a more complete, full application is warranted.
