| Job Summary |
Incumbent will work with clinicians, statisticians, biologists and bioinformaticians; provide statistical consultancy and guidance in experimental design and approaches to analyzing date; develop and apply novel and existing methods to solve complex problems in genomics, proteomics and statistical genetics; provide gene expression analysis; and perform other duties as assigned. Note: Position located in Washington, DC. |

| Qualifications |
Graduation from college with a major in statistics, mathematics or a related field and six years of professional statistical experience including al least on year of pertinent supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of statistical methods; solid background and experience using statistical approaches to analyze large data sets; experience with parametric and non-parametric tests; understanding of supervised and unsupervised clustering algorithms; programming skills in R, S-PLUS, or SAS; ability to clearly communicate ideas and results of analyses with researchers of various backgrounds; ability to work well in a team environment; excellent organizational and computer skill; excellent written and verbal communication skills. |

Preferred
Qualifications |
Ph.D. or Master Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or related field; knowledge of microarray technology; some biology background; experience with Affymetrix technology; knowledge or programming languages (C/C++, Java and Perl). |
